Linen is made from flax, which can be grown without irrigation along the coast line of Belgium, the north of France and the southern half of the Netherlands. While a lot of flax is still grown in these areas, much of the milling is now done in China.
Linen comes in variety of weights, some suitable for upholstery and others very lightweight and quite sheer.
We have pure linen, a mid heavy weight at 220 gsm. It is suitable for clothing, especially dresses and pants but works well for structure tops too. We also stock some linen blends.
